Who's Shadrak Slabs

Shadrak started in the summer of 2006 as we hung out at local skateparks on the Eastside of Seattle. Watching these kids, with their passion and God given talent, brought to life the reality that this group of youths is not being addressed by mainstream church organizations because of their lifestyle. We talked to these kids and found out just how solid they were, how they longed for acceptance and understanding and that although they had skateparks built for them, this was really a way to get them out of the parking lots and private venues they had been forced into. Just because they look, talk and act different does not mean they should not have solid Christian examples in their lives to help offer them a different perspective on world issues. one that is time tested and has been given to us at the ultimate price.
These youths do not want to attend a brick and mortar church service where people look at them funny or talk in big, apostolic words. They need to see how people living the action sports lifestyle can be on-fire for Jesus Christ.
We will take the service to them but ultimately we want to plug them into a youth group that embraces their lifestyles and a church that accepts them, and their family, the way they are….whatever that is.
How are we funded?
We are looking for ways to fund this ministry. We have created a non-for profit Washington state company and are going to get a 501c3 setup in the near future.
We take Paypal (no, not yet but if you think that would help, we could figure it out)! A check would work though!
